We Sell Restaurants, the nation’s leading business broker franchise focused exclusively on restaurants, is making waves with its latest technological advancements. By enhancing key platforms and prioritizing innovation, the company is delivering on its mission to “Sell More Restaurants Than Anyone Else. PERIOD.” The focus of the latest tech investment has been on improving franchisee success, operational efficiency, and customer experience, cementing the brand’s reputation for leveraging cutting-edge technology.

    Streamlining Success with B.O.S.S. Enhancements

The cornerstone of this technological transformation is the B.O.S.S. (Broker Operations and Sales System), which has been the backbone of the company’s operations for nearly a decade. The proprietary platform, initially developed to put brokers ahead of the competition, is now receiving significant updates designed to improve efficiency and performance for franchisees.

A major enhancement is the newly redesigned user interface, allowing franchisees to navigate the platform with greater ease. According to We Sell Restaurants, the system now boasts a 50% increase in data processing speed. This means franchisees can access key information about sales performance, manage restaurant listings, and track transactions in real-time. With these upgrades, brokers can work smarter, not harder—closing deals faster than ever before.

“Technology is at the heart of our operations,” said Robin Gagnon, CEO and Co-Founder of We Sell Restaurants. “These latest advancements reflect our unwavering commitment to providing franchisees, buyers, and sellers with the best tools in the industry.”

Transforming the Buyer Experience with 3D Virtual Tours

In a world where convenience and digital accessibility reign supreme, We Sell Restaurants has made substantial improvements to its 3D virtual tour features, transforming how potential buyers explore restaurant listings.

The upgraded virtual tours provide immersive, high-definition experiences, allowing buyers to virtually walk through restaurant properties as if they were physically present. These updates feature more accurate spatial representations, clear visuals, and a seamless navigation interface—eliminating the need for multiple in-person visits and accelerating the decision-making process.

For this article, we virtually toured a Whiskey and Cigar Bar in Charlotte, NC. This tour gave us a visual of street-level parking, outdoor seating, and the building facade. We entered the space and were greeted by a hostess station, a full bar, and vintage-style furniture. From here, we can step (click) in any direction to see different rooms within the property. All rooms featured a complete 360 view that was immersive. Outside of physically being in the space or having VR glasses on, this is as real as it gets.

We learned the franchisees themselves capture the tour images using specialized but simplistic to use equipment like 3D cameras and tripods paired with Matterport software to create these virtual experiences. Empowering franchisees to manage the process directly results in a cost-effective process and provides greater control over the presentation. Based on the image quality, ability to go anywhere within the space, and ease of user interface, we can see how this technology will be a huge asset to franchisees, buyers and sellers.

A History of Innovation and Franchise Success

Founded by Robin and Eric Gagnon, We Sell Restaurants has been pioneering the restaurant brokerage space for over 20 years. They’ve transformed a fragmented market by offering a specialized, technology-driven approach that is unparalleled in the industry. Operating in 45 states and boasting a listing inventory of nearly $370 million, the company has sold thousands of restaurants across the U.S.

Franchisees have greatly benefited from this tech-forward approach. According to a recent press release from We Sell Restuarants’ their 2023 FDD Item 19, showed “franchisees earned $273,251 in Gross Commission Income, and more than 40% of all franchisees brokered more than one-million-dollars in sales” *

These advancements—both in B.O.S.S. and the 3D virtual tour technology—are designed not just to meet, but to exceed the expectations of franchisees and customers alike. “By embracing these technological advancements, we are able to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain our reputation for excellence in the marketplace,” Robin Gagnon added.

Looking forward, We Sell Restaurants plans to continue enhancing both front and back-end systems. By doing so; they ensure their franchisees are equipped with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive market. With its continued focus on innovation and franchisee success, We Sell Restaurants is not only streamlining the process of buying and selling restaurants, but it’s also shaping the future of restaurant brokerage.
