QDOBA is strengthening its executive bench as the fast-casual Mexican brand names Cathy Tang as Chief Legal Officer, a strategic hire aligned with its ambitious growth plans nationwide.

Tang brings more than 25 years of experience across global restaurant brands and public companies. In her new role, she will oversee legal, compliance, risk management, and corporate governance, while playing a key role in franchise strategy, development initiatives, and transactions. Her appointment supports QDOBA’s long-term plan to scale responsibly as demand from experienced multi-unit franchise operators continues to rise.

CEO John Cywinski praised Tang’s leadership and deep franchise expertise, noting their previous partnership at KFC Corporation. Her collaborative style and growth mindset, he said, will help guide QDOBA as it works toward doubling its U.S. footprint by 2032.

Tang most recently served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality, following four years in the same role at Krispy Kreme, where she led legal and governance efforts through the brand’s 2021 IPO. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly 2 decades at Yum! Brands, including senior leadership roles with KFC globally.
