Carvel is giving one of its most recognizable menu items a summer refresh. Beginning May 12th, the brand relaunched the Carvelanche, introducing a thicker, creamier recipe designed to deliver a more consistent blend of soft serve and toppings in every bite.

Known as the original inventor of soft serve ice cream, Carvel has revamped the Carvelanche with an enhanced blending process that evenly distributes toppings from top to bottom. The update aims to elevate the guest experience while maintaining the nostalgic appeal that has made the frozen treat a longtime fan favorite.

A major focus of the relaunch is customization. Guests can build their own Carvelanche by choosing from a variety of soft serve flavors and mix-ins, including Carvel Crunchies, candy pieces, nuts, and fruit. According to the brand, the menu offers more than 7 million possible combinations.

For those seeking a ready-made favorite, Carvel is also featuring several signature varieties, including Oreo, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, M&M’s, Cookie Dough, Cake Mix, and the classic Carvel Crunchies Carvelanche.

To celebrate the relaunch, Carvel is offering a limited-time promotion on May 16th, with guests receiving a free small Carvelanche when spending $10 through participating delivery platforms, including DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.
