Captain D’s has launched its new Wild Caught Batter Dipped Fish from Alaska at restaurants nationwide, reinforcing the fast-casual seafood chain’s focus on premium ingredients, responsible sourcing and value-driven menu offerings.
Available beginning June 1st, the new fish is battered fresh daily in restaurants and will be featured across several of Captain D’s most popular menu items, including Full Meal Deals, signature platters and sandwich combinations. The company said the initiative represents a multimillion-dollar investment in seafood quality while maintaining the affordability guests have come to expect.
According to CEO Phil Greifeld, the move aligns with the brand’s longstanding reputation for seafood, generous portions and family-friendly pricing. Captain D’s will now use wild caught fish from Alaska for all of its hand-battered fish offerings.
The rollout also highlights the brand’s emphasis on U.S.-based sourcing and sustainability. The pollock is harvested by Alaskan fishermen using responsible fishing practices and supplied through Trident Seafoods before being prepared fresh in Captain D’s restaurants.
Following months of consumer research and focus group feedback, Captain D’s developed the initiative to meet growing demand for high-quality seafood options. Guests can enjoy the new fish through three $5.99 Full Meal Deals, including the Two-piece Fish and Fries Meal, The Sampler and the One-piece Fish and Two-piece Chicken Meal.
Founded more than 50 years ago, Captain D’s remains one of the nation’s leading fast-casual seafood restaurant brands, serving seafood-focused meals across its restaurant network.
