When Jake Paul first teamed up with Dog Haus ahead of last year’s headline-making fight, it was clear the partnership was more than a marketing gimmick. The boxer and social media phenom joined the Dog Haus Board of Directors and inked a 25-unit development deal. This was making headlines not just in the ring, but across the restaurant industry. Now, less than a year later, Paul is punching up the pace with plans to open 10 additional Dog Haus locations by the end of 2025, and he’s not doing it alone.

As reported last fall in Chise News, Paul’s initial entry into the gourmet burger, brat, and brew space was met with curiosity and buzz. But the momentum hasn’t slowed; it’s multiplied.

Building the Haus with His Inner Circle

So far, three Dog Haus locations from this partnership have opened in Texas; Arlington, San Antonio (Bandera Oaks), and Houston (Missouri City). A fourth, in Dallas’ Richardson area, is set to open this April. And 2025 is shaping up to be a game-changer with targeted development across Florida, Ohio, and Puerto Rico.

“I am beyond pumped to continue to share my passion for food with the community — especially in my home of Dorado, Puerto Rico,” said Paul. “It’s been amazing seeing the brand grow, and now I get to share some of my favorite meals with the people I live alongside every day. It’s not just about business — it’s about building something special in the community that I care so much about.”

Paul’s strategic expansion goes deeper than just geography. It’s about legacy and loyalty. Members of his inner circle are joining the brand in franchise development roles. Business partner Nakisa Bidarian, also a Dog Haus board member, is opening in Atlanta. COO Marcos Guerrero is bringing the brand to Miami. Paul’s personal trainer and nutritionist, Chef Eric Triliegi, will open a location in Tennessee. Additionally, in a bold hometown move, Puerto Rican boxing legend Amanda Serrano will co-develop the island’s first Dog Haus with Paul in Dorado.

From 20 to 200? Franchise Expansion Just Got Real

Dog Haus isn’t stopping at Paul’s initial 25-store agreement. The brand is now opening up 20 trade areas across the U.S. where franchisees can partner directly with Jake Paul on a flagship store, plus develop 10 surrounding locations in each region. This is a unique but attractive franchise development strategy; one we will continue to watch closely.

“Why do 20 stores when we can do over 200 stores?” said Paul, hinting at his long-game vision.

This franchise blitz reflects a broader Dog Haus strategy, one CEO Michael Montagano credits in large part to Paul’s full-force commitment.

“We didn’t just grow in 2024 — we owned 2024 thanks to our focus on the fundamentals and an exciting partnership with Jake Paul,” said Montagano. “It’s an honor to see not only Jake but also his team deeply invested in Dog Haus, taking significant strides to expand our presence across the country.”

Founded in 2010 in Pasadena, California, Dog Haus has earned accolades for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, and burgers made with no added nitrates and served on buttery grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. They have more than 50 locations nationwide. Part of their craft-casual concepts’ magic is innovation through sub-brands like Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos and JAILBIRD. All this while supporting social impact through its partnership with No Kid Hungry.

With Jake Paul at the helm of its next phase and his team in tow, Dog Haus is rewriting the playbook for franchise expansion with flair, muscle, and mission.
