Planet Fitness, Inc. announced the appointment of Sarah Powell as General Counsel, effective November 17th, 2025. In her new role, Powell will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Colleen Keating and join the companyโ€™s executive leadership team.

Powell brings more than 25 years of experience as a legal and strategic business advisor. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at GoTo Foods (formerly Focus Brands), a global franchisor of restaurant concepts including Cinnabon, Auntie Anneโ€™s, McAlisterโ€™s Deli, and Jamba. Her previous roles include Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Advance Auto Parts and earlier positions with Delhaize America, where she led governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management initiatives.

โ€œI am excited to welcome Sarah and her deep franchising experience to Planet Fitness, where she will play a critical role on our executive leadership team,โ€ said Colleen Keating, CEO of Planet Fitness. โ€œSarah is a results-driven leader with extensive experience advancing key organizational initiatives and building high-performing teams.โ€

Powell expressed enthusiasm about joining the company, saying, โ€œPlanet Fitness is a leader in the fitness industry, and Iโ€™m proud to join a company with a purpose-led mission that provides affordable access to fitness.โ€ She added that she looks forward to helping drive strategic growth and operational excellence as the brand continues its global expansion.
