Visiting Angels has promoted longtime executive Scott Parrish to president, marking a leadership transition designed to build on the home care brand’s more than 25 years of serving seniors across the United States.
The appointment, announced June 18th, comes after nearly two decades with the company. Parrish joined Visiting Angels in 2008 as its first general manager before advancing to executive vice president in 2009, where he oversaw corporate operations and worked closely with franchise owners across the system.
Founder Larry Meigs will remain chief executive officer, partnering with Parrish as the company continues expanding its network of more than 600 franchise locations nationwide.
Before joining Visiting Angels, Parrish served 21 years in the U.S. Navy as an officer and Naval Aviator, holding leadership roles including maintenance officer, operations officer, and executive officer.
“Visiting Angels has always been more than a company to me; it’s a mission I believe in deeply,” Parrish said. “Looking back on nearly two decades, I’m most proud of being a part of a team that has achieved this level of success while still managing to maintain our unique family culture.”
Looking ahead, Parrish said his priorities include strengthening the brand, supporting caregivers, attracting the next generation of franchise owners, and using technology strategically to help franchisees better serve clients.
Founded in 1998, Visiting Angels provides non-medical home care services that help seniors and adults remain independent in their own homes through personalized assistance, companionship, and specialized care. The company says its leadership transition reflects its commitment to promoting experienced leaders who understand both the franchise system and the families it serves.
