Unleashed Brands Foundation has donated $200,000 to Blood Cancer United, continuing its work to support pediatric blood cancer patients and their families through research, advocacy, and family-focused resources.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based Unleashed Brands, a youth enrichment platform serving children through its franchise network, announced the contribution as part of the foundation’s broader five-year, $1 million commitment to Blood Cancer United. The donation supports Blood Cancer United’s Dare to Dream Project, which funds pediatric blood cancer research, advances advocacy and provides support for families navigating a diagnosis.

Donation Supports The Dare to Dream Project

The Unleashed Brands Foundation launched in 2023 as the charitable affiliate of Unleashed Brands. Since then, Blood Cancer United has served as a key philanthropic partner, helping connect the foundation with children and families facing pediatric blood cancer.

“Generous contributions from partners like Unleashed Brands Foundation help accelerate pediatric cancer research and bring hope to children and families facing blood cancer,” said Jim Brewer, Vice President of Children’s Initiatives at Blood Cancer United. “Support for The Dare to Dream Project helps turn promising ideas into progress that can change lives and bring more meaningful moments to young patients and their families.”

The Dare to Dream Project focuses on giving young patients and survivors more opportunities for longer, fuller lives. For families, that mission can mean access to critical resources during a period marked by uncertainty, treatment schedules, and the emotional weight of childhood cancer.

Perry Oviedo’s Bell Ringing Brings Mission to Life

Through its partnership with Blood Cancer United, Unleashed Brands Foundation connected with the Oviedo family of Fort Worth. Perry Oviedo received a diagnosis of b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia one month after her 2nd birthday.

After years of treatment and resilience, Perry rang the bell on April 17th to mark the end of her cancer treatment. Her mom, dad, and older sister stood alongside her for the milestone.

One week later, the Unleashed Brands Foundation brought Perry and her family to Orlando for UBCON, the company’s annual conference that brings together franchise owners and brand leaders from across the Unleashed Brands network. Perry and her family took the stage before the UBCON community to celebrate her bell-ringing milestone.

The foundation also arranged an all-expenses-paid VIP experience for the family at the Magic Kingdom on April 21st, giving Perry a day centered on celebration, joy, and being a kid.

Unleashed Brands Highlights Hope, Play, and Resilience

Unleashed Brands works across youth-focused franchise concepts and says its platform impacts the lives of millions of children each year. Through its foundation, the company aims to extend that mission beyond enrichment programs by supporting children and families during difficult health journeys.

“At Unleashed Brands, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to overcome challenges, discover their potential and become the ultimate comeback kid,” said Michael Browning Jr., Founder and CEO of Unleashed Brands. “Perry’s journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience children and families show every single day in the fight against pediatric blood cancer. Through our partnership with Blood Cancer United, we’re proud to support moments of hope, joy and healing for families navigating the unimaginable.”

Perry’s story reflects the experience of many families living through pediatric blood cancer diagnoses. For Unleashed Brands Foundation, the partnership with Blood Cancer United brings its mission into focus by helping children access joy, play, and moments of normal childhood while families move through treatment and recovery.
