As Los Angeles continues to recover from the devastating wildfires that have displaced families and tested the resilience of first responders, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is stepping up in a big way and expressing its franchise heart. The beloved coffee brand, known for its premium Hawaiian-grown coffee and deep commitment to the Aloha spirit, has launched the “Love for LA” Initiative. This powerful campaign is dedicated to raising funds for those affected by the disaster.

Brewing Support: How the ‘Love for LA’ Initiative Works

With a mission to turn coffee into action, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is donating 15% of all coffee sales from January 30th through February 11th to wildfire relief efforts. Additionally, customers can support the cause through:

    • Exclusive “Love for LA” Merchandise – Proceeds from a specially designed mug and sticker will go directly to relief efforts.
    • Round-Up for Relief – In-store shoppers can round up their purchases at checkout to contribute additional funds.
    • Direct Donations – Supporters can donate directly to partnered nonprofit organizations via the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii website.

Funds raised will benefit two key nonprofit organizations:

    • California Fire Foundation, which provides emergency financial assistance, shelter, and essential resources to wildfire victims.
    • Direct Relief, an organization delivering critical medical supplies and protective equipment to affected communities and first responders.

A Legacy of Giving: Inspired by Maui’s Recovery

For Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, this initiative hits close to home.

“We’re heartbroken by the devastating impact these wildfires have had on families and communities in Los Angeles,” said Snyder. “The tragedy that Californians are now experiencing is all too familiar to our brand and franchisees, as we experienced the devastating fires in Maui just one and a half years ago. However, we were able to step in with our ‘Love for Maui’ initiative and make an impact then, and we hope to make an impact again now. We’re all part of a bigger ‘ohana and through the Love for LA campaign, we hope to deliver not just financial support, but compassion and Aloha to those affected.”

The Love for Maui initiative in 2023 successfully raised over $80,000 for wildfire relief efforts in Hawaii, proving that even a simple cup of coffee can make a difference when fueled by community support. The Love for LA campaign continues this tradition. It reinforces the company’s dedication to making a tangible impact during times of crisis.

Join the Effort: How You Can Help

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii invites customers nationwide to be part of this relief effort. Whether it’s through purchasing coffee, rounding up at checkout, or donating directly, every contribution plays a role in rebuilding communities and supporting first responders.
