Franchise development often comes down to momentum, and a new partnership announced on April 16th, 2026, is built around keeping that momentum alive. FranchiseNow has entered a partnership with CGI Franchise, bringing its AI-powered funding platform to CGI’s portfolio of brands and pairing DreamStart™ with CGI’s Recruitment Operating System®, or ROS®. Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of meeting with both companies, and this announcement feels like a natural next step in two parallel conversations about speed, visibility, and execution in franchise growth. In recent months, we covered FranchiseNow’s DreamStart™ platform and CGI Franchise’s enhanced ROS Reporting Program™, both of which centered on giving franchisors a clearer, more disciplined path to development.

A partnership built around speed and transparency

The new collaboration brings together two systems that already shared a similar thesis. FranchiseNow has positioned DreamStart™ as a way to remove funding friction by combining prequalification, real-time deal tracking, and franchise fee advancement at signing, which the company says can help candidates move 60 to 120 days faster than a traditional timeline. CGI Franchise, meanwhile, has focused on helping brands create more predictable recruitment processes through ROS® and its enhanced reporting tools.

“We’re excited to partner with CGI Franchise and bring a new level of speed, visibility, and execution to their development process,” said Sam Phelps, President of FranchiseNow. “There’s no shortage of groups that can help a candidate find funding. What’s been missing is a system that actually moves deals forward in real time. That’s what we’ve built. Funding is part of the process, but execution is what ultimately drives outcomes.”

That emphasis on execution lines up closely with what both companies had already shared in our earlier reporting. FranchiseNow described DreamStart™ as a transparent, bank-linked platform designed to keep all stakeholders aligned, while CGI Franchise has framed ROS® as a repeatable system that turns fragmented development activity into measurable decision-making.

Why this matters for franchisors in 2026

For franchisors, the practical appeal is straightforward. DreamStart™ allows candidates to begin training, onboarding, and early business-building activity without waiting for the full traditional funding cycle to play out. CGI Franchise brings the recruitment discipline and reporting structure needed to keep the development pipeline moving with more consistency. Together, the companies are pitching a model that could help brands improve candidate experience, shorten development timelines, and reach royalty realization sooner.

In a franchise market where delays can quietly derail otherwise qualified candidates, this is an exciting announcement to see two innovative companies join forces on their journey forward. For a sector that continues to look for better ways to connect recruitment, funding, and onboarding, the FranchiseNow and CGI Franchise partnership could be one of the more closely watched collaborations of 2026.
