Studio Pilates International, a global leader in reformer Pilates, has reported a landmark year of growth, underscoring its dominance in the fitness industry. From July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, the brand saw a remarkable 32% increase in revenue, totaling AUD $50.4 million. This is up from the previous year’s revenue of AUD $38.1 million. In addition, Studio Pilates has shown an exciting 17.5% rise in new studios over this same period. The big picture is that not only are they growing, but the revenue per studio is also increasing.

This is a testament to its ability to create deeply engaging fitness experiences that create a loyal customer base. With over 100 locations, the franchise brand’s influence spans globally, from its Australian roots to major cities across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

Founded in 2002 by former Olympic swimmer Jade Winter and his wife Tanya Winter, a physical therapist, Studio Pilates was built with a deep understanding of human movement. Their collective expertise has driven the development of workouts that are both safe and highly effective. This combination makes Studio Pilates a top choice for fitness enthusiasts worldwide.

Skyrocketing Visits Fueled By The Studio Pilates Experience

In addition to its impressive financial growth, Studio Pilates International also reported a significant increase in foot traffic, constantly expanding its core customer base. Over 2 million studio visits were recorded in the past fiscal year, a 34% surge from the previous year’s 1.5 million visits. This rise reflects the growing popularity of Studio Pilates’ innovative 40-minute reformer classes. These classes are designed to suit all fitness levels. Whether you are a beginner entering a fitness space for the first time or an NFL football player looking to get an edge on the competition, pilates could be the right fit for you.

At the heart of Studio Pilates’ offering is its reformer Pilates classes. These sessions prioritize low-impact but high-intensity exercises that tone muscles, improve flexibility, and empower clients to progress at their own pace. Skilled instructors guide small groups, ensuring personalized attention and safety for participants of all ages and abilities. In many ways, the studio doesn’t feel like a gym or a cookie-cutter group class. Instead, it feels like a community of local people working toward their fitness goals in a thoughtfully laid-out space.

The combination of state-of-the-art Pilates reformer machines and knowledgeable instructors makes Studio Pilates’ workout model both unique and highly effective. This dedication to quality has fostered a loyal and growing customer base eager to return to the studios for their next workout.

Exciting Expansion Plans for 2024 and Beyond

Studio Pilates International’s growth trajectory shows no signs of slowing down. The company is set to open new studios in Williamsburg, NY (September 2024), Arvada West, CO (October 2024), and additional locations in the United States, Canada, and New Zealand by November. Among the notable openings are studios in San Juan Capistrano, CA, Sylvan Park/Nashville, TN, and Willoughby, Canada.

Looking ahead to 2025, the brand has already confirmed nationwide franchise openings in major markets, including Foster City, CA; Meridian, ID; Boulder, CO; Ocala, FL; and international locations like Oakville, Canada; Glenmore Park, Australia; and Birkenhead, New Zealand. This global expansion further cements Studio Pilates’ position as a fitness powerhouse, consistently delivering exceptional wellness experiences worldwide.

As Studio Pilates International continues to grow, it remains committed to its core values: providing high-quality, safe, and effective Pilates workouts that promote wellness and cater to a diverse range of fitness levels. With its proven success, the company is poised for even greater achievements in the coming years.
