In a move that merges festival culture with finger-licking flavor, Dave’s Hot Chicken has unveiled its first-ever food truck, setting the stage for a coast-to-coast culinary roadshow. This journey started with the nation’s most Instagrammed music and arts event, Coachella.

With nearly 300 locations across the country, Dave’s is already a household name for heat-seeking foodies. But now, the brand is cranking up the accessibility by going mobile, thanks to a sleek new food truck operated by longtime Dave’s team member and current partner, Vahe Kallibjian. Fans at Coachella 2025 are getting the first bite as the truck makes its official debut on both weekends of the festival.

“Whenever we post on social media to our millions of followers, we get hundreds of people in the comments asking us to bring a Dave’s to their hometown,” said Dave’s Hot Chicken CEO Bill Phelps. “With the launch of the Dave’s Hot Chicken food truck, people can now do just that.”

Why Coachella Is the Perfect Place to Launch a Flavor Movement

Held annually in Indio, California, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is more than just a concert. It’s a cultural moment. Drawing over 125,000 attendees per weekend, Coachella unites fans from every U.S. state and beyond, making it a powerful launching pad for trends in fashion, music, and yes—food.

By parking the Dave’s food truck on the Festival Campgrounds and at the Indio Central Market inside the festival, the company ensures attendees can satisfy their spicy cravings no matter where or when hunger hits. This isn’t Dave’s first festival rodeo. The truck was first teased at Rolling Loud earlier this year, dropping hot merch alongside even hotter chicken. But Coachella represents a bold new chapter. A chapter that celebrates not just a brand, but a lifestyle.

Why Food Trucks Matter: A Taste That Travels Home

There’s something deeply nostalgic about getting your favorite festival bite and wishing you could have it again once you’re back home. That’s where food trucks like Dave’s become more than a convenience. They become a bridge between a memory and a meal.

One bite of Dave’s signature Hot Chicken Sliders, Tenders, or Cauliflower Bites, served at spice levels from No Spice to Reaper™ can transport you right back to the desert, the music, the friends, and the freedom of Coachella. It’s food that connects people across cities, states, and moments.

And that’s exactly the point. Whether you’re in Phoenix, Portland, or Peoria, the Dave’s Hot Chicken truck might just be the next thing rolling through your neighborhood and could very well spark the next new brick-and-mortar locations.
