    Get ready for a supersonic experience at Topgolf! Starting Friday, Nov. 15th, Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends are taking over Topgolf NYSE: MODG venues in the U.S. and Glasgow with the launch of Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog, an exciting new game that brings SEGA’s iconic franchise into the golf entertainment space for the first time. Developed by Topgolf in collaboration with SEGA®, the game is poised to delight fans of all ages by combining golf with Sonic’s high-speed action.

    Swing Into Sonic’s World

    In Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog, players will swing their way through two iconic Sonic environments—Green Hill Zone and Sky Sanctuary. Using Topgolf’s proprietary Toptracer technology, players can watch Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy track their shots in real time, collect rings, hit springs, and destroy badniks, all while climbing the leaderboard. It’s a game designed for fans of every skill level to immerse themselves in the fast-paced Sonic universe.

    This innovative blend of physical golf and virtual gameplay marks a milestone for both Topgolf and SEGA. “The multi-generational appeal of Sonic’s iconic energy and speed gives our Players a fresh, playful way to just have a little fun together with friends and family,” said Geoff Cottrill, Topgolf’s Chief Brand Officer. “The new Sonic game in partnership with SEGA absolutely takes the Topgolf experience to the next level.”

    Exclusive Offers and Merchandise

    To celebrate the launch, Topgolf is offering 30 minutes of free playtime for Sonic fans. Simply visit www.topgolf.com/FREE to redeem the offer. Restrictions and exclusions apply, so be sure to check the details before heading to your nearest venue.

    Fans can also grab exclusive, limited-edition Sonic-themed merchandise available at Topgolf locations in the U.S. and Glasgow. Hats, sweatshirts, and t-shirts featuring Sonic holding Topgolf’s newest club, The Sure Thing, are available in both youth and adult sizes—perfect for fans looking to bring a piece of the experience home.

    Global Rollout and Campaign

    While fans in the U.S. and Glasgow can enjoy the game now, Toptracer-enabled franchise venues worldwide will debut localized versions in early 2025. To drive excitement, Topgolf launched a new advertising campaign featuring Sonic joining families and friends in a Topgolf bay. Created in collaboration with Anomaly and Topgolf’s internal creative team, the campaign is rolling out globally across digital, social, and streaming platforms.
