Hire Heroes USA has a mission to “empower U.S. military members, veterans, and military spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.” They do this with free job search support to U.S. military members, veterans and military spouses.

In the Veterans Employment Toolkit found on the VA.org there is a section called “Common Challenges During Re-adjustment to Civilian Life” In that section they discuss three challenges when veterans enter the workforce for the first time.

    • Land a job or new career is well… new. “A Veteran may have never looked for, applied for, or interviewed for a civilian job.”
    • When applying for a job, a Veteran has the unique challenge of articulating how their military skills and function translate into civilian terms.
    • “A Veteran may have never created a resume. Instead of a resume the military uses a Field Service Record to detail qualifications, training, and experience.”

The great thing about Hire Heroes USA is they support Veterans in addressing these challenges. Making entry or reentry into the workforce easier.

    Service Master Supports Mission

Most recently ServiceMaster Restore & ServiceMaster Clean hosted the 2024 We Serve: Veterans Golf Tournament as one of the many ways they follow through on their initiative to Serve Veterans.

John Tovar, Group President of ServiceMaster Brands expressed “The turnout this year was amazing. Not only did we enjoy a round of golf at the historic Olympia Fields Country Club, but with the tremendous support and generosity from our network of ServiceMaster Restore and Clean franchise owners and Presenting Sponsor, ServiceMaster Restoration Services – one of our largest franchises – we were able to exceed our fundraising goals and make an impact in the lives of those who have given so much for our nation.”

As a collect franchise ecosystem and with Franchise Heart they were able to surpass their $150K goal that went to benefiting Hire Heroes USA.
