    Primrose Schools Launches Transitional Kindergarten Programs

    In an exciting move that underscores its commitment to high-quality early childhood education, Primrose Schools® has officially launched its Transitional Kindergarten classroom and new Enrichment Programs, solidifying its leadership in educational innovation for young learners.

    The announcement marks a significant milestone in Primrose Schools’ mission to “forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.” By integrating these programs into its proprietary, research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum, Primrose continues to set the gold standard in the preschool space. These additions are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, confidence, and compassion, nurturing a lifelong love of learning among children nationwide.

    A Smart Bridge to Kindergarten Readiness

    The Transitional Kindergarten program stands out as a timely and intentional offering for children who either miss the traditional kindergarten cutoff or need an additional year to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

    “Instead of repeating Pre-K or moving too early into Kindergarten, Primrose families now have a better option that is intentionally designed with the right depth and rigor for greater student outcomes,” said Dr. Amy Jackson, chief early learning strategy officer at Primrose Schools.

    Program highlights include:

    • A full-day of engagement blending child-led exploration and teacher-guided instruction, with early morning and evening care available.
    • Optimal student-to-teacher ratios to foster deeper learning through small group math and literacy sessions and whole-group lessons.
    • STEM-based learning units that bring reading, writing, technology, engineering, and math to life through hands-on, real-world projects.
    • A strong emphasis on social and emotional development, with daily opportunities to practice character traits like responsibility, cooperation, and empathy.

    Enrichment Programs: Play with Purpose

    In addition to the Transitional Kindergarten classroom, Primrose is rolling out its Enrichment Programs for children ages 3 and up. These innovative offerings are built into the school day. They are included in tuition and provide extra value and convenience for families while tapping into children’s innate interests.

    The programs help children explore new passions and build real-world skills through playful learning in categories such as:

    • Chess – For boosting logic, spatial awareness, and problem-solving
    • Coding – Introducing programming concepts in a screen-free, hands-on format
    • Cooking – Cultivating creativity, cooperation, and early math understanding
    • Drama – Strengthening storytelling and expressive language
    • Little Magicians – Fostering imagination and self-confidence
    • Mindful Movement – Encouraging physical coordination and self-awareness
    • Piano – Opening the door to rhythm, musicality, and creative exploration
    • Zoology – Sparking scientific curiosity and discovery
