In a move that caters to the growing demand for workplace meals, Dave’s Hot Chicken has teamed up with ezCater, a leading food tech platform for workplaces in the U.S., to launch its first-ever catering program. This partnership allows businesses across the country to order the brand’s famous hot chicken tenders, sliders, and sides for team lunches, meetings, and office events.

With over 200 Dave’s Hot Chicken locations now available through ezCater, companies can enjoy the bold flavors of Nashville-style hot chicken with the ease and convenience of large-scale group orders. The menu includes both individually packaged meals and shareable trays, ensuring flexibility for businesses catering to employee preferences and dietary needs.

Workplace Catering: A Booming Trend in the Post-Pandemic Era

The rise of workplace catering is more than just a trend—it’s a response to the evolving dynamics of work culture post-COVID. As businesses navigate hybrid and in-office work environments, convenient, good-tasting meals have become a tool for fostering workplace collaboration and boosting morale.

“Partnering with ezCater allows Dave’s Hot Chicken to tap into high-value workplace customers like never before,” said Jim Bitticks, President and Chief Operations Officer of Dave’s Hot Chicken. “This partnership will help us capitalize on the growing demand in workplace catering while also opening up a new revenue stream for our franchise owners. The average order value for Dave’s Hot Chicken orders on ezCater exceeds $500, and we expect catering to represent as much as 10% of our business within a year.”

This surge in catering aligns with broader industry trends. Many companies are using free or subsidized meals as a perk to encourage employees to return to the office. Whether it’s a weekly team lunch, client meeting, or corporate event, businesses are increasingly turning to catering services for reliable, high-quality food options.

A Win for Both Businesses and Franchise Owners

By joining ezCater’s platform, Dave’s Hot Chicken gains access to over 100,000 businesses already using the service to coordinate workplace meals. This not only helps meet customer demand but also serves as a lucrative new revenue stream for franchise owners.

A majority of Dave’s Hot Chicken locations are also leveraging ezDispatch, a feature that provides access to local and reliable delivery partners, ensuring orders arrive fresh and on time.

“Dave’s Hot Chicken is a favorite brand our customers will be thrilled to find on our platform,” said Michelle Smart, Chief Customer Care Officer, ezCater. “With many options for both boxed lunches and trays, their menu is perfect for large groups at work. Plus, what better way to spice up a meeting than with their famous hot chicken tenders?”

The Future of Office Catering is Hot—Literally

As businesses continue to prioritize convenience and employee engagement, the workplace catering industry is experiencing a resurgence. The partnership between Dave’s Hot Chicken and ezCater highlights how restaurant brands are adapting to these shifts—offering high-quality, large-order meal solutions that make workplace dining easy and exciting.

With expectations that catering will make up 10% of Dave’s Hot Chicken’s business within a year, the move signals a broader shift: workplace meals aren’t just a perk anymore—they’re becoming a workplace staple.
