Get ready to taste the trend—because 16 Handles is about to bring one of the world’s most viral desserts to your spoon. Starting April 16th, the national frozen dessert brand is launching its much-anticipated Dubai Chocolate frozen yogurt at participating stores across the U.S., combining international indulgence with next-level innovation.

From Dubai to Dessert Cups: The Global Treat Goes Froyo

The inspiration behind the new flavor? The wildly popular Dubai Chocolate bar that’s been dominating social media, thanks to its lavish layers and eye-popping cross-sections. The original dessert features a shell of smooth milk chocolate filled with crunchy knafeh (a Middle Eastern shredded pastry), rich pistachio paste, and an irresistible texture combo of nutty, crispy, and creamy.

Now, 16 Handles has turned that viral confection inside out with a frozen yogurt twist: a creamy pistachio-rich base speckled with crushed milk chocolate bites and just a whisper of cocoa. With every bite, guests experience a burst of artisan pistachio filling, melting chocolate, and the option to add even more crunch with over 50 toppings on offer.

“The viral treat everyone is talking about has made its way to our handles as we froyo-ify the Dubai Chocolate trend,” said 16 Handles CEO Neil Hershman. “Our international flavor launches have been a hit this year and brought in a plethora of new customers and tastes! Our team also raised the bar even higher in the dairy-free space as we roll out new recipes with our proprietary Oat Milk soft-serve.”

Why International Flavors Are Captivating American Taste Buds

Dubai Chocolate isn’t just a trend; it’s a reflection of something much bigger. That being the craving for new global experiences, even when it comes to dessert. As more consumers seek out flavors that go beyond the everyday vanilla and chocolate, internationally inspired desserts offer a passport to culinary adventure. Whether it’s saffron from India, pistachios from the Middle East, or cardamom from South Asia, bold, foreign flavors are now seen as fresh, fun, and Instagram-worthy.

That craving for the “new” is something 16 Handles has mastered. Earlier this year, the brand introduced a Kulfi frozen yogurt (a nod to South Asia’s beloved frozen dessert) and a Mango Lassi flavor inspired by the tangy Indian drink. These launches didn’t just excite loyal fans—they attracted a whole new audience hungry for global flavor stories in every cup.

Reinventing the Froyo Experience—One Bold Scoop at a Time

16 Handles continues to push the limits of frozen dessert creativity with limited-edition monthly flavors like French Fry, Squid Ink, and Dune Spice, while also offering guilt-free options like Keto Chocolate Brownie and proprietary Oat Milk soft serve for the dairy-free crowd. With 16 rotating soft serve flavors, 50+ toppings and sauces, and edible cookie dough novelties, there’s always something new to explore.

Beyond its bold menu, 16 Handles delivers a vibrant, modern in-store experience that mirrors the energy of its flavor innovation. As a growing national franchise, the brand continues to attract attention not just for its frozen creations, but for the business opportunity behind the counter.

So whether you’re a flavor chaser, a trend spotter, or just looking for something deliciously different, Dubai Chocolate frozen yogurt might just be your next obsession.
