    From Employee to Zee to Zor: Drew Stauffacher Named Brand President of 9Round Kickboxing Fitness

    In a powerful example of climbing the franchise ladder from the ground up, Drew Stauffacher has been appointed brand president of 9Round Kickboxing Fitness, the world’s largest kickboxing fitness franchise. His promotion marks a milestone not only for the brand but also for franchisees everywhere who dream of one day stepping into executive leadership roles within their organizations.

    Stauffacher’s journey with 9Round began in 2011 when he joined as a trainer. Driven by a deep passion for fitness and entrepreneurship, he quickly moved into a management role before purchasing his own 9Round studio in 2014. Two years later, he expanded his ownership with a second location. By 2020, he and his wife relocated to Greenville, South Carolina (the headquarters of 9Round) to join the corporate team full time. There, he helped the brand innovate during the COVID-19 pandemic by leading the development of 9RoundNOW, a digital training platform that has become a valuable asset for members and franchisees alike.

    “After spending significant time learning what it takes to succeed as a franchise owner, transitioning to the 9Round Home Office was an incredible opportunity,” said Stauffacher. “My franchisee experience allowed me to enhance the support we provide, and I was able to apply my fitness expertise to product development and help the company innovate through the challenges of the pandemic. As my focus shifted to operations and now executive leadership, I’ve blended my passion for fitness and business to provide franchise owners the best support and ensure the brand continues to be a leader of innovation.”

    Franchise-First Leadership Driving the Brand Forward

    Founded in 2008 by professional kickboxer Shannon Hudson and his wife Heather, 9Round revolutionized kickboxing fitness with its signature 30-minute, circuit-based workout model and now operates hundreds of locations worldwide. With Stauffacher’s promotion, the brand reinforces its commitment to putting franchisees first by placing one of their own at the helm.

    “Our franchisees are in the best hands with Drew,” said Shannon Hudson, founder and CEO of Striking Brands, the parent company of 9Round Kickboxing Fitness. “Beyond his extensive knowledge of the company and his experience as a franchisee, he brings a different voice and a fresh approach that will continue elevating the brand to its fullest potential while taking exceptional care of our franchisees and members.”

    Hudson is now shifting his attention to Striking Brands’ broader portfolio. This portfolio includes iLoveKickboxing, acquired in 2024, and a growing equipment division. He has full confidence in Stauffacher’s ability to lead the brand with purpose and innovation.

    As Stauffacher steps into the role of brand president, his story stands as an inspiring testament to the potential that exists within franchise systems for driven, dedicated individuals. It’s not just a job or a business; it’s a pathway to leadership and legacy.
